how to order

1. show me your cat!

Please email me (crescent [at] paintthatcat.com) with a photo or photos of your cats, and a little about your cat (name, personality, fave food, etc!)

I'll work with you to select the reference photo, plan color and background adjustments (if any) and answer questions!

2. Place order

Whenever you're ready, please select the material you want, add the portrait to your cart, and check out. You can do this step before emailing me too.

how many cats????

I canĀ fit 1 or 2 cats in a portrait. For more than 2 cats, email meĀ ;)

You may notice that sometimes I change the background and colors a bit, but I'll always make sure you're OK with it :)

materials

  • oil paint paper

    This is a painting on 136 lb/290 gsm acid-free paper with a canvas-like texture. I suggest framing it behind glass, with a mat with an 8x10" (7.5x9.5") opening. Shipped in a rigid mailer between cardboard for extra protection.

  • wood panel

    Pine wood cradle with a basswood surface. The natural edges of the pine wood are visible. They are easy to hang flush against the wall on a single nail or command picture hanger, or you can have it framed.

  • wood float frame

    The panel is mounted in a handmade maple wood frame with a 1.5" profile. The painting looks like it's "floating" in the frame with a ~5mm gap between the edge of the panel and the frame. Comes with a hanging wire so you can easily hang it on a nail or command hook.
